Bradford Works

Bradford Works is Birmingham’s first purpose-built shared living scheme, and an exciting addition to the Great Hampton Street masterplan, comprising 54 en-suite studio units and plenty of communal areas.

Welcome to Birmingham’s first shared living environment

A first-of-its-kind shared living scheme, Bradford Works will reimagine the HMO concept, offering 54 self-contained en-suite studio units with generously sized separate living and sleeping areas. Residents will benefit from state-of-the-art communal areas including modern lounges, professional grade kitchens, dining areas, workspaces, a multi-purpose fitness studio and a landscaped roof terrace.

Designed for the city’s young population

Bradford Works has been designed specifically for Birmingham’s growing population of young professionals, post-graduate students, and freelancers. Communal areas encourage sharing between residents, creating a community of likeminded people with sociability and wellbeing at the core, while allowing them to retreat into hotel suite-like private rooms and enjoy privacy.

Sustainability and heritage at the core

Sitting at the corner of Barr Street and Harford Street, Bradford Works will see the refurbishment of an existing Jewellery Quarter building, maintaining and enhancing the heritage of the local area. The project will place sustainability at the core, as a 100% A-rated energy-efficient development.

Shared living vs co-living

What exactly is the difference? Shared living focuses on creating the best possible experience for residents through large individual living quarters, high quality amenities, and flexible-term stays, in smaller buildings that are easier to manage. In contrast to larger, new build, co-living developments, shared living properties can be delivered quickly and are suitable for refurbishment, helping to turn disused sites into new and exciting communities. Both developments offer all-inclusive rent, but shared living benefits from cost savings due to size, making it more affordable.
