FoxPost, Hungaryʼs largest parcel locker chain, has leased 8,400 sqm in Futurealʼs HelloParks warehousing complex in Maglód close to Budapest airport.
The company has already started to install parcel sorting machines in HelloPark Maglód in an investment of EUR 1.5 mln, which should result in a threefold increase FoxPostʼs sorting capacity. It currently operates 240 parcel locker machines nationwide.
We are pleased our first tenant is an innovative, environmentally conscious, fast growing company like FoxPost. We are also experiencing very strong interest from other potential tenants and are in advanced negotiations for all our vacant space. Our next tenant will be moving in soon. At the same time we have already started the planning and authorisation processes for subsequent buildings, so that we can meet the needs of our existing and future clients’ needs as efficiently as possible.
Rudolf Nemes, the CEO of HelloParks
Construction work on the park began five months ago., with the 46,000 sqm first stage having been developed in an investment of more than EUR 40 mln. It could be the first industrial facility in Hungary to achieve BREEAM New Construction ʻExcellentʼ certification. Eventually HelloPark Maglód will comprise 193,000 sqm. HelloParks is also currently developing similar complexes on the outskirts of the Hungarian capital: on a 76 ha site in Fót (330,000 sqm) and on a 100 ha site in Páty (400,000 sqm).
