Here’s how Budapest’s new riverside district is progressing – apartments are selling quickly

Marina City, Cordia’s large-scale urban development project on Budapest’s northern riverside, has now entered its second phase. Due to overwhelming demand, preparations for the third phase have already begun – nearly 60% of the apartments in the first phase sold in less than six months.

As part of the Marina City project, a new, 14-hectare car-free district is being developed directly on the banks of the Danube in Budapest. This unique district features a 1.2-kilometre promenade and green spaces that will benefit the entire city. With 60% of the apartments in the first two phases already sold, work on the third phase is underway. Additionally, buyers can reclaim the 5% VAT thanks to the project’s brownfield classification.
