magyarepitok.hu: Cordia boosts the construction industry with nearly HUF 130 billion in new projects
Cordia, part of the Futureal Group, will launch sales for nearly 1,500 new apartments this year, up from the originally planned 1,000, generating around HUF 130 billion in orders for the construction industry. Demand is supported by the Otthon Start loan programme and funds released from maturing retail government bonds.
“By increasing the number of apartments launched in Budapest by 50 per cent compared to our original plans, we are also making a significant contribution to the growth of the construction industry, which is one of the key drivers of the Hungarian economy,” said Tibor Földi, Chairman of the Board at Cordia. The portfolio is exceptionally diverse, ranging from downtown studio flats and one- to two-bedroom homes to suburban family houses and luxury penthouses with panoramic views.
Several projects underpin this volume, including the second phase of Woodland with 269 apartments, the more than 200-unit Corvin Campus, the final 199-unit phase of Thermal Zugló, and the next two buildings of Sasad Resort, which will feature 133 homes. In addition, a smaller-scale development will be launched in Fonyód on the southern shore of Lake Balaton.
